VPDC Ocean Reef Full Face

Description

The Ocean Reef Full Face Mask is designed for those who wish to extend their diving experience, potentially wanting increased visibilty for photography or videography, maybe in conjunction with diver-to-diver or diver-to-surface communications. The experience of diving with a full face mask is different from the diving that you would be used to following your PADI courses, to start with your face stays much warmer in cold water! Equalisation techiques are completely different as well, as you can no longer pinch your nose with your fingers.

To compliment the varied experiences and to ensure that divers are confident at each stage, we offer the full face mask course in a number of levels:

Basic Ocean Reef Full Face Mask Course teaches the diver how to look after, don in air, remove in air and dive with a full face mask, including equalisation techniques. This is a one dive option.

Advanced Ocean Reef Full Face Mask Course teaches the more advanced skills required to safely dive with a full face mask, including how to remove the mask underwater and replace it with a standard diving mask and then how to do the reverse. This is a one dive option.

Full Face Mask Communications teaches the diver how to maintain and use comms systems with the full face mask, both diver-to-diver and diver-to-surface communications.

Been a busy few days at Viewpoint, with dive against debris dives, project aware course, and a digital photograph level 1 to 2 upgrade course, well done to Blaise for doing them all, keep collecting the rubbish from the sea.
At viewpoint diving we are a 100% project aware centre and have adopted Portmellon as our dive against debris main site, so are always collecting the odd bit of rubbish on every dive, and donate £10 to project aware for every certification we put through to Padi.
We have noticed due to divers collecting the rubbish from the sea and 3 bays and Sas beach cleans along with more people recycling and using the rubbish bins, Portmellon is a lot cleaner than it was under the water keep up all the good work everybody.

Another great club dive today with 12 divers in the water, one team off to the left the Panda group (club members will understand) and one to the right, visibility still low between 2-4 meters but water nice and warm.
See you all next week.

Open water course running Tuesday to Friday inclusive, still some spaces available, and spaces on the following weeks open water course too.

If you want a DSD (Discover Scuba Diving day ) pool and sea these are on Mondays throughout August.

Nice little 54 min dive on southern reef at Portmellon, visibility well down due to SE winds and bit choppy getting in, but all in all a great dive.
Club dive tomorrow visibility should be better and sea flatter due to wind changing to Sw. See you all tomorrow.
