SSI Boat Diver Speciality Course

Description

The SSI Boat Diver Speciality Course teaches participants the techiques required for boat diving that are different from shore-based diving. Many dive sites are only accessible by boat and it important to understand how to exit the boat, how to conduct the dive, how to find and approach the boat and how to get on board. Depending on the type of boat, it is important to understand the procedures and etiquette of being onboard, how to stow gear and to locate emergency equipment and to understand emergency procedures. We will also dicuss the terminology terminology that is applied to boats.

All equipment is provided

Age Range

Minimum age 10 years, parental approval is required for participants under 18 years old.

Today was supposed to be club dive but not for the most as winds supposed to be a or ssw but more se and upto 50mph on some apps, wind meter registering 38mph guests at Pentewan and I’m told it’s rough at portmellon. Remember if you choose to dive it’s your risk as Viewpoint would suggest please don’t today. Pentewan is almost surf conditions and webcams don’t look good.
