PADI Boat Diver Speciality Course

Description

The PADI Boat Diver Speciality Course teaches participants the techiques required for boat diving that are different from shore-based diving. Many dive sites are only accessible by boat and it important to understand how to exit the boat, how to conduct the dive, how to find and approach the boat and how to get on board. Depending on the type of boat, it is important to understand the procedures and etiquette of being onboard, how to stow gear and to locate emergency equipment and to understand emergency procedures. We will also dicuss the terminology terminology that is applied to boats.

The course is offered as two dives, which will provide the participant with a PADI Speciality Accreditation or as one dive, offering a PADI Adventure Dive accreditation. The Adventure Dive can also be taken as one of the adventure dives in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver / Junior Advanced Open Water Diver course.

Age Range

Minimum age 10 years, parental approval is required for participants under 18 years old.
